Don’t understand geek speak

When people start talking in gibberish about how and what I need to do to fix something, I just turn off because I have no idea what they are talking about! I have a friend who must like talking in “big words” because no matter how many times I ask him to explain something to me like I’m a 3 year old, he just babbles on. He was talking yesterday about some cables and patch panels or something. Did I learn anything? No. Will I get that hour of my life back? No. Thanks very much!

I know what you mean Tina! My web guy is always talking about stuff I don’t get like RSS, HTML, inbound links and keyword text. It doesn’t matter how many times he explains it to me, I just don’t get it!
