Did you turn your lights off?

DD7 was talking about Earth Hour since yesterday afternoon. Her teacher at school must have been reminding all the kids to turn their lights off at 8pm on Saturday night. So 7.55pm, DD7 was helping me make sure all the lights were turned off. At 8.25pm, she asked if it was an hour already because she didn’t want to sit in the dark anymore. So we sat snuggled on the lounge, watching Joe Dirt on tv and as soon as an hour was up, she turned the lamp back on!

It has to be hard to do things like that with kids. There idea of a long time is 5 minutes! I sat and read a book by candle light, it was very relaxing.
