I don’t know much about cars.

So when DH and DD14 are chatting animately about wheels and rims and the finish of them and the styles and how hot they make cars look, I usually tune out or go do something else. It was only when I heard DH mention that he was going to put new wheels on ‘the bus’ that my ears pricked up and I had a look at what he was looking at online. He showed me some photos of Z06 Corvette wheels which are similar to the ones he saw that are suitable for our bus.

I have to admit that I sometimes look twice when I see a nice set of wheels on a car. The gleam as the car drives by is mesmerizing. But it’s  probably not good when I get ‘caught’ as though I’m checking the young man who’s driving the car! It amazes me how these kids can afford to spend so much money on hotted-up cars! Half of them look young enough to be still in school.

So, to hear DH talking about hotting up our bus makes me laugh. Can you imagine me driving down the road in a hotted up people mover, with shining wheels, a hot paint job and music blaring? Oh and don’t forget the 5 kids in the back!

I think DH probably prefer to be buying the wheels for a Corvette but unfortunately we’re not in a position for him to own a ’sexy car’! He’ll have to make do with our people mover!
